RECIPE : La Dolce Baguette

A premium sandwich with Italian flavours, combining a crispy baguette, Serrano ham, thin slices of mozzarella, semi-dried tomatoes, Genovese pesto and pine nuts.

A simple, quick and highly cost-effective recipe, ideal for a lunch menu in a bakery, sandwich shop or catering establishment.​

Ingredients (for 1 sandwich)​

  • ½ baguette
  • 2 slices of Serrano ham (approx. 40 g)​
  • 50 g mozzarella, thinly sliced into rectangles​
  • 50 g of semi-dried tomatoes​
  • 30 g of Genovese-style green pesto​
  • 10 g pine nuts​

Preparation​

  1. Bake the half-baguette until the crust is golden brown and crispy.​
  2. Cut the baguette lengthways.​
  3. Spread the pesto generously over the base.​
  4. Arrange the thin slices of mozzarella evenly.​
  5. Add the semi-dried tomatoes.​
  6. Arrange the Serrano ham in thin strips to add volume.​
  7. Sprinkle with pine nuts for a crunchy texture.​
  8. Close the sandwich slightly and serve.​

Bruyerre's tip​

For an even more indulgent treat, pop the sandwich under the grill for 1 to 2 minutes: the mozzarella will melt slightly and the flavours of the pesto will really come into their own.​
